Welcome to scribble.pub! By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By drawing, chatting, or simply viewing the canvas on scribble.pub, you agree to follow these rules. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

2. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use scribble.pub. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the platform. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

3. Your Account and Account Security

If you create an account, you are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (or your Google account if using Google Login). You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact our moderators immediately or email support@scribble.pub.

4. Your Content

You retain your rights: You retain any ownership rights you have in the drawings and content you create on the canvas or post in the chat.

License to us: Because scribble.pub is a public, collaborative platform, we need certain rights to display your work. By creating content on scribble.pub, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, copy, display, distribute, and modify (e.g., scale or format) your content across the platform and our promotional channels, for as long as that content remains on the platform.

Public Nature of the Canvas: Keep in mind that drawings in public rooms (/main, /sandbox, /chaos, etc.) can be seen, modified, drawn over, or erased by other users and moderators.

5. Third-Party Content and Links

Users may post links to third-party websites in the chat or on the canvas. We do not endorse, support, represent, or guarantee the completeness, truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of any third-party content. You access third-party content at your own risk.

6. Acceptable Use and Community Rules

We want scribble.pub to be a welcoming place. When using the platform, you agree NOT to:

• Post hate speech, harassment, or threats.
• Share illegal content or non-consensual personal information.
• Post 18+, NSFW, or sexually explicit material. While we may introduce dedicated spaces for adult content in the future, it is currently not supported anywhere on the platform and will be removed.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to draw, spam the chat, or scrape the canvas.
• Evade bans or intentionally disrupt the platform's infrastructure.

7. Moderators

Our volunteer moderators are here to help maintain a positive environment. They are not official representatives of scribble.pub. We reserve the right to revoke moderator privileges at any time, and we are not responsible for the actions taken by moderators.

8. Copyright

We respect the intellectual property of others and expect our users to do the same. As a platform operating under Danish and EU law, we comply with the EU Copyright Directive (DSM Directive). If you believe your copyrighted work has been reproduced on scribble.pub without authorization, please notify us. Because the canvas is dynamic and collaborative, the fastest way to resolve an issue is often to notify a moderator in the /main chat or email copyright@scribble.pub, and we will promptly erase the infringing content.

9. Our Intellectual Property

While you own your drawings, scribble.pub retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the platform itself. This includes our original code, design, features, and the scribble.pub name and logo. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without our written consent.

10. Donations

We may provide links (e.g., Buy Me a Coffee) to allow users to financially support the project. All donations are entirely voluntary and are given as a gift to support the developer. Donating does not purchase premium services, guarantee immunity from moderation, or entitle you to any special influence over the platform's development. All donations are non-refundable.

11. Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to moderate the platform to ensure a positive experience. This means we may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

• Clear, erase, or revert parts of the canvas.
• Remove chat messages.
• Ban IP addresses, user accounts, or restrict access to certain rooms (like /main) for violating these Terms or community guidelines.

12. Termination

You may terminate these Terms at any time and for any reason by deleting your account and discontinuing your use of scribble.pub. If you stop using the Service without deleting your account, these Terms will continue to apply.

We may also terminate these Terms or suspend your access to scribble.pub at any time, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, indemnity, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless scribble.pub, its creators, moderators, and administrators from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any person or entity.

14. "As Is" Disclaimer

The platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We are an independent project and make no guarantees that the service will always be up, bug-free, or that your drawings will be permanently saved. We are not responsible for lost artwork due to server resets, canvas clearings, or technical errors.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creator and administrators of scribble.pub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your access to or use of the service.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Denmark.

17. Changes to the Service

We are always improving scribble.pub. This means we may add, alter, or completely remove features, rooms, or functionalities at any time without prior notice. We may also suspend or stop the service entirely.

18. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify the community in the /main chat or via a site announcement. Continued use of the platform after changes implies your acceptance.
