• Account Information: If you choose to register (either via email or Google Login), we collect your email address and the profile information you set (such as your username and nickname color).
• User-Generated Content: As a collaborative drawing platform, any strokes, vectors, animations, and chat messages you post in public rooms (like /main, /sandbox, or /chaos) are collected and broadcasted to other users in real-time.

• Connection Data: We temporarily log IP addresses to prevent abuse, mitigate spam, and enforce network bans against malicious users.
• Device & Usage Data: We may collect standard technical information (like browser type and version) to ensure the platform functions correctly across different devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).

2. Cookie Policy (e-Privacy)

To keep scribble.pub functional and secure, we use a minimal set of cookies. Because these cookies are "strictly necessary" for the core functionality and security of the platform, we do not require a disruptive cookie consent banner under the ePrivacy Directive. However, we want you to know exactly what they are:

• Session Cookies (Default): We use standard session cookies to keep you logged in, maintain your active session, and link your temporary guest name or registered profile to your connection as you draw and chat.
• Google Login Cookies: If you choose to authenticate using Google, Google will set its own cookies to verify your identity and maintain your logged-in state.
• Google reCAPTCHA 2.0 Cookies: To protect our chat and canvas from bots, scripts, and spam, we utilize Google reCAPTCHA 2.0. This service sets cookies and analyzes hardware/software data (such as device and application info) to perform critical security checks.

3. Transparency: What Moderators Can See

We believe in full transparency regarding how moderation works. To maintain a safe, positive, and spam-free atmosphere (especially in the /main room), our moderators and administrators have access to the following data:

• Chat Logs: Moderators can view all chat logs, including messages that may have been cleared or removed from the public chat window.
• Drawing Attribution: Moderators have tools to inspect the canvas and see exactly which user (or IP) drew a specific stroke or vector. This helps us quickly revert vandalism.
• IP Addresses and Location: Moderators do not see your raw IP address; they see an encrypted version of it (which can be escalated to administrators for severe cases) along with your general country and region. This is used strictly to identify persistent trolls, prevent ban bypasses, and issue network-level bans when community rules are broken.
• Account Details: Administrators can view the email address associated with your registered account, which may be used for support inquiries or dealing with severe terms of service violations.

4. How We Share Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers. Your data is only shared with the essential service providers mentioned above (like Google for authentication and bot protection), or if required by law.

5. Your Rights

If you have a registered profile, you have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data (like your email address). Please reach out to our administration or moderators in the /main chat or email privacy@scribble.pub to request account deletion. Note that due to the collaborative nature of the platform, your past public drawings and chat messages may remain as part of the shared canvas history.
